Hello all,
I hope everyone had a blessed weekend. I spent a fair bit of time filling out my taxes, but that’s par for the course this time of year.
Taxes aside, I decided to bring back the “5 Intriguing articles from The Hayride” series here on the Louisiana First Standard for another week. I received some positive feedback from readers about last’s week post in this series, so my plan is to keep up the content aggregation from Louisiana’s premier Conservative political commentary site The Hayride.
Without further ado, let’s preview 5 intriguing articles from The Hayride this week:
1. “Will Louisiana’s New Two-Democrat-District Congressional Map Be Thrown Out?” by Scott McKay
2. “Ten Commandments Bill to Present Needed Test” by Jeff Sadow
3. “For 12th consecutive year, same audit issue for Louisiana Department of Children and Family Services” by Steve Wilson
4. “Louisiana Freedom Caucus Needs A Little More Muscle In Easter Defense” by Walt Garlington
5 “A Healthy Dose of Skepticism Toward the LAGOP” by Nathan Koenig
For my column in The Hayride last week, I called out the Louisiana GOP for its lack of transparency regarding the results of the recent RSCC meeting and State Convention. Over a week has passed since last week’s RSCC meeting/State Convention, and the LAGOP still had not published the results for either meeting. That means, the public does not know who exactly will represent our state’s Republican party as either Delegates or Alternates at this summer’s Republican National Convention (RNC).
If you want to learn more about the LAGOP’s lack of transparency, then make sure to check out my latest article in The Hayride.
Anyways, thank you all for reading, and may Christ Jesus bless the state of Louisiana! Only Louisiana First!
