Hello all,
I hope everyone’s week has gone well so far.
For today’s article, I wanted to direct the Louisiana First Standard audience to several interesting articles from The Hayride this week.
As everyone probably knows already, I regularly contribute articles to The Hayride blog—which is Louisiana’s premier political and cultural commentary site. For many years, The Hayride has served as an important counter-weight to the extreme Left-wing bias coming from Establishment media in Louisiana—such as The Advocate, the Louisiana Illuminator, Nola.com and others. So, it’s important for “Louisiana First” patriots to read and share some of the top conservative political writers in Louisiana—such as founder of The Hayride Scott McKay, professor Jeff Sadow, radio show host Jeff Crouere, Jeff LeJeune, and more. I’ve gained a lot of knowledge about Louisiana politics through their writings, so I hope to share some of that knowledge here with the Louisiana First Standard audience as well.
Moving forward, I might make this series a semi-regular part of the Louisiana First Standard if the audience enjoys the “news aggregator”-type content on the substack—which we already partially do with the weekly “Tweets of the week” series.
Without further ado, let’s preview 5 intriguing articles from The Hayride this week:
1 “Elections Have Consequences, and Louisiana Public-Employee Unions Are Sad About That” by Scott McKay
2 “KNOCK KNOCK, WHO’s Still There–And Louisiana Is Fighting” by Jeff LeJeune
3 “New Bond Rating Is More Evidence of Edwards’ Dark Days Receding” by Jeff Sadow
4 “The Pathetic Last Stand of the Public Education Monopoly” by Walt Garlington
5 “Stand for Children, the Trojan Horse of Louisiana Education” by Nathan Koenig
For my article in The Hayride this week, I exposed one of the major players in Louisiana education: Stand for Children (SFC). SFC Louisiana has cozied up to state Legislators, School board members, and BESE members in recent years. But beneath this group’s friendly veneer, you’ll find that SFC supports toxic ideologies such as ant critical race theory (i.e. anti-white propaganda), the LGBT lifestyle among minors, social emotional learning, etc. So, I highly recommend that you check out my hard-hitting article about the Stand for Children group.
Anyways, thank you all for reading, and may Christ Jesus bless the state of Louisiana! Only Louisiana First!
