This week, several important bills in the LA Legislature will appear before Legislative committees. One notable bill is HB 714 by Rep. Raymond Crews.

HB 714: Establishing gold and silver as legal tender in LA

According to Article 1 Section 10 of the US Constitution, US States have the right to issue gold and silver as legal tender. No state in the US has attempted such a feat, but Rep. Raymond Crews’s innovative legislation may finally bring sound money to the state of Louisiana. You can check out more information about this bill here in The Hayride.

This flyer gives a general explanation of what a gold/silver transaction card would look like in Louisiana.

This bill is scheduled to be heard in the House committee on Commerce this morning at 9:30am. Sadly, lobbyists from the banking industry will be out in full force to oppose this bill, so “Louisiana First” patriots need to have their voices heard and support this excellent legislation.

For this call to action, please email the Republican members of this House committee using this LA Legislative website link! There are several RINOs on this committee, so we have to make sure that the Republican legislators on this committee pass this innovative, “Louisiana First” bill.
