Louisiana's official 2024 RNC Delegate list
The LAGOP releases list of this year's RNC Delegates and Alternates
Hello all,
I wanted to share some interesting info that I discovered earlier this week. On Monday morning, I noticed that the LAGOP finally released the list of Louisiana’s 2024 RNC Delegates and Alternates on its website
As mentioned before in my previous column on The Hayride, the LAGOP failed to release the list of RNC Delegates a whole week after the LAGOP’s State Convention met on Saturday, April 6th. For reference, the State Convention selected 26 of the 44 RNC Delegates (in addition to 26 of the 44 alternates) as Louisiana’s Delegation for this summer’s Republican National Convention (RNC).
Certainly, we here at the Louisiana First Standard are pleased to see our pressure campaign on the LAGOP starting to work. We’re only getting started in our efforts to improve the Louisiana Republican party at the state and local level.
Moving back to the RNC Delegate list, the first part of the list below shows the RNC Delegates and alternates who were selected during last month’s Louisiana Republican Caucus on March 19th. Republican voters in Louisiana’s 6 Congressional districts selected 18 RNC delegates and 18 alternates (including vacancies) at the Caucus. I was one of the alternate delegates selected in Congressional District 1.
The 2nd part of the list below shows the Delegates and alternates selected during the LAGOP’s State Convention on April 6th.
Some of the notable selections from the State Convention include 1 state senator (Mike Fesi) , 3 state representatives (Billings, Emerson, & Edmonston), LA Governor Jeff Landry, 1 member of the Public Service Commission (Eric Skrmetta), former LAGOP chairman Louis Gurvich, several RSCC members, President of the Family Research Council Tony Perkins, and two Conservative talk radio show hosts (Crouere and Wallis).
In total, it looks like roughly 11 elected officials will serve as representatives in Louisiana’s RNC Delegation.
While I do wish that there were more Grassroots activists in Louisiana’s delegation, I still think there is a decent balance between elected officials, party insiders, and grassroots activists in this year’s delegation.
Regardless, I recommend that the Louisiana First Standard audience review the list below to see who will represent Louisiana during the Republican National Convention:
Anyways, thank you all for reading, and may Christ Jesus bless the state of Louisiana! Only Louisiana First!
