5 More "Louisiana First" victories in the LA Legislature this week

The Louisiana Legislature has been in full-swing recently. Several important bills have passed one chamber of the Legislature and are scheduled for a hearing in the other chamber. So, we’re getting close to
The Legislature’s regular session has been going on for about a month now. So, it’s important that “Louisiana First” patriots continue to keep up with the flurry of activity going in on the Legislature.
With that introduction, let’s take a look at 5 “Louisiana First” legislative victories this past week:
1 Rep Emerson’s Education Savings Account (ESA) bill (HB 745)
-passed the LA House 71-32 with 6 Democrat state reps voting for the bill; scheduled for the State Senate on 4/15
2 Rep Horton’s 10 Commandments Display in Classrooms bill (HB 71)
-passed the LA House 82-19; pending Senate introduction
3 Rep Farnum’s bill to clean up the voter rolls through an annual canvass of registered voters (HB 114)
-passed the LA House 73-30; pending Senate introduction
4 Rep Crews’s bill about gender pronoun usage in LA schools (HB 121)
-passed LA House Education committee 9-3; scheduled for House Floor debate on 4/16/24
5 Rep Owens’s bill to require college athletic events to accept cash payments (HB 5)
-passed LA House Education committee 11-2; scheduled for House Floor debate on 4/15
