I hope everyone is enjoying the Christmas holidays and the end of the new year. 2024 has been a barn-burner year for the “Louisiana First” movement, and we here at the Louisiana First Standard are excited for another year of growth and success in 2025.

To kickoff 2025, I wanted to let everyone know about a free political event open to the public on Thursday, January 2nd. The inauguration of East Baton Rouge’s Mayor-President-elect Sid Edwards is set to take place at 5pm this Thursday at the River Center Theatre in downtown Baton Rouge.

Besides the inauguration, there will also be an after-party celebration. So, makes sure to attend this event and RSVP if you’re able to attend.

As you can probably guess, we here at the Louisiana First Standard plan to attend this inauguration with Mrs. Louisiana First Standard. So, we hope to see some of our loyal readers in the Baton Rouge area attend this event.

I’ll likely post a recap article next week after the EBR Mayor-President inauguration takes place. So, stay tuned for the upcoming content related to this inauguration.

I am grateful to see another “Louisiana First” elected official take public office this week, and let’s hope that we can get more solid people into elected office in the years to come here in Louisiana!
