Upcoming events in Louisiana politics: April 2025
Update on local political events in South Louisiana
Hello all,
I wanted to share a quick post this morning about some upcoming political events in South Louisiana.
So without further ado, here are three interesting events that “Louisiana First” patriots may be interested in this month:
#1 NOLA LRA meeting (April 14th)
#2 LA Freedom Caucus PAC dinner (April 30th)
Here is a description of this event from The Hayride website:
The Louisiana Freedom Caucus PAC is proud to announce its 2025 Legislative Summit Dinner, April 30, at the Hilton Hotel in downtown Baton Rouge!
The Louisiana Legislature’s 2025 Regular Session is about to begin, and the Louisiana Freedom Caucus will play a key role in crafting a new direction for state policy. As such, this will be a can’t-miss event as we discuss the future of our state.
Headlining the event will be American Spectator Publisher Melissa Mackenzie. Melissa serves as a frequent commentator for the BBC and has appeared on Fox News often. Her work has been featured at The Guardian, PJ Media, and she was a front-page contributor to RedState before taking over as the publisher at TAS. Melissa commutes from Houston, Texas to Alexandria, VA. She lives in Houston with her two sons, one daughter, and two diva rescue cats.
Also speaking will be state senator Blake Miguez, a founding member of the Louisiana Freedom Caucus. Sen Miguez has received great acclaim as a fighter for fiscal responsibility, economic growth, education reform, constitutional rights, and Second Amendment rights while championing for the agriculture, oil and gas, and seafood industries.
And there will be a special guest speaker, whose identity we will disclose at a later date.
Hayride publisher Scott McKay will serve as the master of ceremonies.
The event will begin with a 6:00 p.m. cocktail hour. Dinner and the program will begin at 7 p.m.
Tickets are $80. Table sponsorships are $1800. VIP “front row table” sponsorships for the event are $2,500.

#3 GNORW meeting (April 16th)
Here is a brief description of this event from the sign-up website for the GNORW meeting in Gretna, LA next week:
Please join us for an evening with Louisiana Treasurer John Fleming, MD who is also running for the US Senate presently held by Sen Bill Cassidy.
This is an appetizer event. $40
John Fleming was sworn in as Louisiana State Treasurer on Jan. 8, 2024. A physician, entrepreneur businessman and military veteran, he is also a former Congressman from the fourth district of Louisiana. He served four terms in Congress from 2009-2017. While in Congress, he was one of the founders of the House Freedom Caucus.
After leaving Congress, he was appointed to three different positions in the Trump administration. First, he served from 2017-2019 as Deputy Assistant Secretary at Health and Human Services, then he was appointed and Senate-confirmed in 2019 as Assistant Secretary of Commerce for Economic Development, and then he was detailed to the West Wing of the White House as a Senior Advisor to President Trump in 2020.
Thank you all for reading, and may Christ Jesus bless the state of Louisiana! Only Louisiana First!
