Why am I starting the Louisiana First Standard?

A Fresh Take on Louisiana Politics

Welcome to the Louisiana First Standard. Your go-to Substack for “Louisiana First” political commentary.

If you aren’t familiar with my writing already, I mainly write for two other political blogs: The Hayride and RVIVR. I thoroughly enjoy writing for these two blogs, and I plan on continuing to do so.

However, I’ve wanted to start my own political Substack for one reason: a lack of “Louisiana First” political commentary online.

Now, there are a couple of solid blogs covering Louisiana politics—including The Hayride, The Big Easy Conservative substack. But, Louisiana Conservatives need to create a media ecosystem to counter the Liberal/Leftist media’s inaccurate narratives about Louisiana politics. Consequently, my hope is that the Louisiana First Standard will provide a voice to the many “Louisiana First”, Conservative Christian patriots throughout our whole state.

Topically, the Louisiana First Standard substack will mainly center on Louisiana politics and culture.

Additionally, you can expect to find a mix of content aggregation from other “Louisiana First” articles, podcasts, tweets, and more.

One of the other major components of this site will be the Louisiana First Standard Twitter/X account. This account will act as breaking news Twitter/X account for Louisiana politics headlines, so make sure to follow the Twitter account here: @lafirststandard.

After eight disastrous years under the John Bel Edwards administration, Louisiana Conservatives have an amazing opportunity ahead of us to transform our state into a Conservative, “Louisiana First” bastion.

May Christ bless us in our efforts.
